Scar For Life are heading back to the studio

Great news from Scar For Life this morning; we are working on a new album.

The Lisbon-based band released their last full-length album, Worlds Entwined, in 2014. Following live performances that year, culminating in opening the heavy metal festival Vagos Open Air in August 2015, the band decided to take some time off and regroup. Now we’re heading back to the studio. “Following a meeting last Friday [25 November 2016] to discuss the future of the band,” guitarist Alex Santos said, “we have confirmed that Scar For Life will start rehearsing new material in January to be released early in the new year.”

“At the moment we’re working on new songs,” he added.

During our year off, the members of the band have been working on side-projects. Alex has been involved in Stagma, a concept rock band that features Vinny Appice on drums, Neil Fraser on lead guitar, Santos on rhythm guitar and Joe Petro on bass, and is currently producing the music for Stagma’s debut album, the self-titled Stagma, at his PressPlay Studios. The album is due for release early in the new year.

Meanwhile, lead guitarist Tëën Asty has written and released songs for his first, as yet untitled, solo album. Also produced by Alex at PressPlay, Tëën’s latest single, ‘Knocking At Your Door’ is due to be released on iTunes, Spotify and other streaming services soon.

Scar For Life will be planning performances surrounding the release of the new material in the coming months and new dates will be listed here on the band’s website and on social media.
